Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

• Formula Rossa
  • If you're a true thrill-seeker, make Formula Rossa your absolute priority. This is the world's fastest rollercoaster, and lines can get long. Arrive early and head straight there.
  • Be prepared for the intense G-forces and high speeds. Secure loose items, as they will not be allowed on the ride. (The first image at the top of this page showcases Formula Rossa's impressive track. The second captures the fun of preparing for the ride, as my husband and I pose with the protective goggles).
  • Check for ride closures or maintenance schedules before your visit to avoid disappointment.
• Other Thrill Rides
  • Flying Aces: Another high-adrenaline rollercoaster with a record-breaking loop. This ride experienced intermittent closures throughout our visit. You'll need to check its operating status frequently during your time at Ferrari World.
  • Turbo Track: Another thrilling ride, that sends you vertically out of the roof of the park.
  • Mission Ferrari: A thrilling rollercoaster experience featuring an intense, multi-sensory journey, with the world's first sideways coaster drop.
• Beyond the Rollercoaster
  • Explore the interactive exhibits and simulators that showcase the history and technology of Ferrari.
  • We took a guided rooftop walk, which offered stunning panoramic views of Yas Island, including the iconic Ferrari badge and, during F1 weekend, Yas Marina.
  • Consider the driving simulators for a unique experience.
  • Enjoy the Italian-themed dining options for a complete Ferrari experience. You'll find outstanding dining options here, where the food is remarkably flavourful and surprisingly affordable.

Warner Bros Abu Dhabi

• Warner Bros. Plaza
  • This is your grand entrance. Notice the art deco architecture and classic Hollywood vibes. It's a great spot for photos.
  • Look for the "WB" water tower – a signature landmark.
  • This area is a hub, so use it as a reference point for navigating.
• Metropolis
  • Experience the soaring skyscrapers and futuristic feel of Superman's city.
  • "Superman 360 – Flight of Steel" is a must-do for thrill-seekers. Pay attention to the immersive pre-show.
  • Look for hidden "Daily Planet" details.
• Gotham City
  • Embrace the dark and gritty atmosphere.
  • "Batman: Knight Flight" is a very popular dark ride, expect longer queues.
  • Notice the atmospheric lighting and sound design. This area is great for night time photos.
  • Look for the villains hidden in the shadows.
• Cartoon Junction
  • Perfect for families with younger children.
  • "Tom and Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin" is a fun, interactive ride. This ride had very long queues when we visited so keep an eye on this.
  • Take time to explore the interactive play areas.
  • Look for the character meet and greets, as they are very frequent in this land.
• Bedrock
  • Step back in time to the Stone Age.
  • "The Flintstones Bedrock River Adventure" is a relaxing boat ride with classic cartoon humour.
  • Enjoy the quirky architecture and themed dining.
  • Take time to look at the small details, like the stone age technology.
• Dynamite Gulch
  • Experience the chaotic world of Looney Tunes.
  • "Fast and Furry-ous" is a thrilling rollercoaster.
  • Look for the road runner and Wile E. Coyote props.
  • Enjoy the comical theming and sound effects.

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi

• Wave Pool Proximity (Amwaj Wave Pool)
  • If you want to be in the heart of the action, aim for spots directly in front of the wave pool.
  • Consider the shade patterns throughout the day. Some areas will get more sun than others.
  • If you have young children, look for shallower areas closer to the edges of the wave pool.
  • If you want to view the wave pool from a more relaxed position, get a lounger chair further back.
• Slide Proximity
  • If your priority is riding popular slides like Jebel Drop or Dawwama, choose a spot near their entrances. This will minimise your walking time throughout the day.
  • Note the location of lockers near these slide areas for easy access.
  • If you want to ride the Hamlool's Humps, and other slides in that area, get a spot in that area of the park.
• Cabana or Premium Seating
  • If you've booked a cabana or premium seating, arrive early to familiarise yourself with your designated area and its amenities.
  • These areas often offer prime locations and added comforts, so make the most of them.
• Shaded Areas
  • Abu Dhabi's sun can be intense. Look for shaded areas, especially if you plan to spend a long day at the park.
  • Consider the direction of the sun and how shade patterns will shift throughout the day.
  • Umbrellas are available, but popular areas get taken very quickly.
• Family-Friendly Zones
  • If you're traveling with young children, choose a spot near the children's play areas, such as Yehal.
  • This will allow you to supervise your children while still enjoying the park.
  • Look for areas with shallow water and interactive features.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

• Obtain the Show & Ride Schedule
  • Immediately upon entering SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, grab a physical show schedule and ride information or access it via the park's official app. Schedules and ride operating times can change, so confirm times.
  • Take a photo of the schedule and ride list on your phone for easy reference throughout the day.
• Prioritise Shows & Rides
  • Identify the shows and rides that are most important to you and your group. Consider the interests of everyone in your party.
  • If you have limited time, focus on the signature presentations featuring the park's most iconic animals and the most thrilling rides.
  • Consider the height restrictions of the rides, and if you are travelling with children, plan around this.
• Create a Combined Itinerary
  • Map out your day, allocating specific times for each show and ride you want to experience.
  • Factor in travel time between show locations and ride queues, as SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is a large park.
  • Build in buffer time between shows and rides to allow for unexpected delays, ride closures, or to grab a quick snack.
  • Plan to ride the most popular rides early in the day, or later in the afternoon, to avoid the longest queues.
• Arrive Early for Popular Shows & Rides
  • For popular shows, arrive at least 20-30 minutes early to secure good seating.
  • For popular rides, arrive early in the day, or check the app for estimated wait times, and plan accordingly.
  • Consider the layout of the show venue and choose a spot with a clear view of the stage or pool.
  • If travelling with young children, choose a spot where they can see easily and where they won't be blocked by taller guests.
  • For the larger shows, that happen in the large stadiums, arrive even earlier, especially during peak times.
  • We were impressed by SeaWorld Abu Dhabi's strong emphasis on animal welfare and its commitment to educating visitors about marine conservation over traditional performance-based shows.
• Consider Show & Ride Flow
  • Look for shows and rides that are scheduled back-to-back or in close proximity to minimise travel time.
  • Plan your route to maximise efficiency and minimise backtracking.
  • Plan to ride rides that are in the same area of the park, between scheduled shows.

  • Many exhibits have scheduled feeding times. These offer a unique opportunity to see the animals in action and learn more about their behaviour.
